The last leg of the Gavi World tour took place on September 7 at the halls of the Midtown Loft & Terrace in Manhattan and was sold out.

It closed, Wednesday, September 7, the Gavi World Tour, the schedule of national and international events entirely dedicated to Gavi DOCG.

Promoted by the Consortium for the Protection of Gavi, the Tour stopped in three of the world's most important metropolises: it began on May 9 in Rome, then moved on to London on June 23 before reaching the Big Apple.

The three events, reserved for the press and trade professionals, provided a unique opportunity to taste more than 70 labels of Gavi DOCG and deepen knowledge of this white wine, 100% cortese, thanks to masterclasses dedicated to the peculiarities of the grape variety and its ability to age.

The series of events closed with a great success: the tasting in the halls of the Midtown Loft&Terrace in Manhattan in fact sold out, and both the seminars and the walk-around tasting generated consensus and appreciation.

"We are thrilled to have been able to organize a series of events exclusively dedicated to Gavi, particularly in the United Kingdom and the USA, which are the most important foreign markets and which are showing an ever-increasing interest and appreciation for our denomination." - says Maurizio Montobbio, president of the Consortium for the Protection of Gavi - "We are proud of the acclaim obtained as well as of having been able to offer international trade operators unique opportunities to learn more about the history, characteristics and potential of this great Piedmontese white and its production territory. We hope that the tour can continue next year and as a Consortium we are already working on a series of initiatives abroad to be carried out starting in spring 2023."

Goal achieved, then, for the Consortium, whose main purpose since its founding in 1993 has been to promote, enhance and protect the Gavi DOCG appellation in Italy and around the world.
