The new association for the promotion of Gavi and its territory has elected its first president: he is Lorenzo Bisio.

Gavi Giovani, the Aps Associazione di promozione sociale, is born, promising to bring a fresh wind of energy and vitality to the Gavi Docg appellation: they are 32 in number, including producers and supply chain operators, average age 29 years-the youngest being born in 2005-and elected their first president, Lorenzo Bisio, on Monday, March 11, following the Constituent Assembly held on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the headquarters of the Consorzio Tutela del Gavi.

Working alongside Lorenzo Bisio are vice president Tiziano Arecco and advisors Filippo Gemme, Mattia Gemme, Giada Lava, Matteo Maccagno, and Chiara Massone.

Founded on the aggregation of young people who firmly believe in the enhancement of the oenological and territorial heritage of which they are a part, Gavi Giovani aims to foreground the identity of Gavi through the promotion and communication of the territory, the preservation of the agrarian landscape, hospitality and food and wine culture. The primary goal is to actively involve the community by creating synergies with other entities and actors in the area and by networking between farms and wineries, taking full advantage of digital tools.

Newly elected President Lorenzo Bisio comments on the Constituent Assembly as follows, "Itwas surprising to see so many people present drawn by the desire to create Gavi Giovani, which was thus born on the wave of a momentum of passion and dedication: we can't wait to start creating events, meetings and opportunities to make our wine and our land known as much as possible."

"Thanks to the enthusiasm and determination of its members," says the President of the Consortium for the Protection of Gavi, Maurizio Montobbio, " Gavi Giovani promises to be an important point of reference for the future of the denomination. We are proud that the group, which is already active, has given itself a structure, and we are convinced that, through this experience, each of them will mature an awareness of the commitment and responsibility that are indispensable to accompany the continued growth of the territory and its typical and excellent products. To all the members of the Council our best wishes for a good work and the maximum availability of the Consortium to support the initiatives they will carry out."
