PIEDMONT WINE GOES ON STAGE AT MILAN WINE WEEK

Piedmont's great Denominations team up and meet the media and wine lovers in Milan, with two quality-focused events

Asti, Oct. 4 - Piemonte Land of Perfection lands at Milan Wine Week (Oct. 6-13), bringing with it the immense oenological heritage of our region. A unified participation that testifies to the desire of the 13 Protection Consortia represented by Piemonte Land to offer a unified image of Piedmontese wine.

The first appointment is for Thursday, October 10, when, from 7 p.m., the Brian&Barry Building (Via Durini, 28) will host 'Piemonte Wine Experience.' Along the floors of the building overlooking Piazza San Babila, as many as 29 types of Piedmontese wines will be on display. Whites and reds, young and aged, sparkling and aromatic: the Piedmont to drink will show its many faces, different but linked by the enormous quality and territorial identity that each one brings. Starting at 9:30 p.m., Terrace 12, located on the top floor of the building, will open its doors to an exclusive party, where guests will be able to taste labels specially selected to pay tribute to the great evolutionary capacity of the Denominations represented by Piemonte Land.

On Friday 11, starting at 2 p.m., in the halls of Palazzo Bovara (C.so Venezia 51) the masterclass 'Solo Bianco - I grandi vini bianchi del Piemonte" will be held. This is an appointment that is part of a wider promotional path aimed at focusing attention on white grape varieties. Here 14 labels based on Arneis, Cortese, Erbaluce, Nascetta and Timorasso will be the protagonists of a tasting aimed at the press and wine lovers. Starting with the 2018 vintage, guests in attendance will take a journey back in time, discovering the organoleptic evolution that these wines are able to offer.
