Three of the most important international metropolises will host events entirely dedicated to Gavi DOCG, open to the press and trade professionals
Walk-aroud tastings and masterclasses, conducted by key opinion leaders, will offer participants a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of this great Piedmontese white wine.
New York
On Wednesday, August 30, the prestigious Midtown Loft & Terrace, with its stunning views of Manhattan, will host a new leg of the Gavi World Tour 2023.
The unguided tastings will be divided into two sessions, at 11:30 am-1:00 pm and 3:00-4:30 pm, respectively. Guests will have the opportunity to freely taste the new Gavi DOCG vintage, served by sommeliers.
Each session will begin with an introduction dedicated to Gavi terroir entitled "Gavi's Got a New Groove: The Queen of Piedmont is Growing for the Better" given by Lars Leicht, vice president of SOMMJournal Education.

Phoenix
On Monday, Aug. 28 , the prestigious location of the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, will host an event with a unique protagonist: Gavi DOCG, the Great White PiedmontOrganized in collaboration with the U.S. magazine SOMMJournal, the event aims to present Gavi DOCG, its characteristics and aging potential to an audience composed of press and industry professionals, thanks to a Masterclass entitled "Gavi' sGot a New Groove: The Queen of Piedmont is Growing for the Better." The seminar, is for SOMMJournal guests only, will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be led by Lars Leicht, VP of Education for SOMMJournal.
Milan
On Thursday, March 30, the Verdi Room of the Westin Palace Hotel in downtown Milan will host a new stage of the Gavi World Tour 2023.
At 3 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to take part in the masterclass "The Climate in the Goblet - Gavi DOCG and the challenge of climate change: how an indigenous grape variety maintains its identity" led by journalist Aldo Fiordelli and Davide Ferrarese, agronomist and consultant to the Consortium. The appointment will allow industry professionals and members of the specialized press to explore, within the scenarios of climate change, the resilience of Cortese and its identity imprint in the glass with respect to increasingly complex vintages.
The masterclass will take place after the Gavi La Buona Italia Award ceremony-scheduled to take place in the morning from 10:30 a.m.-which, in this ninth edition, has as its theme The Communication of Sustainable Wine and is dedicated to wineries and producers who show particularly effective communication of their attention to issues of sustainability and social responsibility in wine.

The Rosensalen on the second floor of the building will therefore see Gavi DOCG as the sole protagonist of an event that will allow industry professionals and members of the trade press to delve into all the nuances of this Great Piedmont White.
Participants will be able to take part from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in a masterclass entitled "Gavi DOCG: exploring the latest vintages and the aging potential of Piedmont's Great White," led by sommelier Sandro Minella and Danish journalist Morten Brink Iwersen, which will be followed from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. by the"Gavi DOCG: the Great White of Piedmont" tasting desk featuring a large array of Gavi DOCG labels.
This is the first time Gavi has had the opportunity to present itself to the Danish capital with an entirely dedicated event, in a market where interest in the appellation is steadily increasing.
