An award was given to Arnaldo Caprai of Montefalco (PG) for the Fourth Edition of the Gavi La Buona Italia Award, as the standard-bearer of the New Green Revolution already implemented since the early 2000s. Special Mentions to the Consorzio per la Tutela del Franciacorta and to Castello Banfi.

More than 100 producers and exponents of the national wine scene of communication and Corporate Social Responsibility were gathered this morning to baste and sign the Responsible Wine Charter, during the 2018 Gavi Workshop. at Tenuta Centuriona. An unprecedented event, led by Lisa Casali, in which the 10 elements that constitute a 'manifesto' for Social Responsibility in the Italian wine world were defined, commented on, and explored:
1) Marry the right values, 2) Protect the earth, 3) Safeguard water, 4) Counter climate change, 5) Commit to Sustainability, 6) Protect biodiversity, 7) Believe in people, 8) Save in natural resources, 9) Promote culture and the arts, and 10) Create wealth for the land.
