OF GAVI IN GAVI FESTIVAL 2019: THREE DAYS OF SUCCESS

Meetings, debates, tastings, and pairings between "wine & food" and "arts & culture" enlivened Gavi's long weekend and involved nearly 6,000 people. Food & wine lovers, taste travelers, gastronauts including many young people enjoyed this corner of Piedmont off the beaten path of mass tourism, tasting in the 6 Corti open for the occasion the typical products of the 11 municipalities of the Gavi Docg appellation paired with more than 160 labels, served by a team of 19 sommeliers. Antonella Clerici godmother of the event and new great friend of Gavi - of which she declares herself an ambassador - presented the 2019 award to the "tartare di culatello al Gavi," a recipe from the municipality of Serravalle Scrivia, as the best pairing between the Great White Piedmontese wine and the cuisine of the area. "After 6 editions of Di Gavi in Gavi and last year's wave of people in August, we wanted to introduce some changes in the format - moving the date and enriching it with content - that were appreciated by our visitors, focusing on the quality of the appointments and focusing the Festival on wine experienced in different declinations," concludes Roberto Ghio.
